Mokhtar Nama is an epic television series produced by Sima film, based on the life of Mukhtar Thaqafi (R.A).
Mukhtar Thaqafi (R.A) is a Shiite Muslim leader who sets up a rebellion movement in 686 A.D in the town of Kufa to avenge the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) [Grandson of Islamic Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.W)].
